Builder

I am able to use ps_upload to create items. When i try to create multiple revisions for the same item, I get an error "found existing item id" and the revision does not get created. Below is the input file data for ps_upload.

#DELIMITER ~
#item~name~rev
045661~PSTEST1~A
045661~PSTEST1~B
045661~PSTEST1~C
045662~PSTEST2~B
045662~PSTEST2~C
045663~PSTEST3~B

Below is the commandline arguments passed to the utility

ps_upload -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -c=Item -t=HCast -v -i=D:\Loader\psUpload_InputFile_Test.txt

Below is the console output.

I am creating single items with multiple revisions. Once the item and item revision created, i intend to use load dataset for all the revisions.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

What version of TC are you using? If you are on TC10.1.4+, then I highly suggest that you use TCXML to load your items. I can point you in the direction of the documentation if you are interested.

Hi, did you ever find out what the mistake was in your input file that was yielding the error when trying to create multiple revisions of the same item?

No. The tcxml approach suggested by @jamie was much faster and better to understand. Never bothered to find the issue. You can do most of the things which ps_upload does using tcxml.
