two clients on same workstation

Hi everybody,

Before I go any further, I searched a little but no luck. I know you can have two clients refering different databases on a same workstation.

My situation is that, I wanted to install a standalone environment separated from all, test and prod. My workstation has a rich client connected to test server. I installed a SQL server and ready to install a new 2 or 4 tier that will uses my local database. It is because I have all the other software installed on this PC, and I dont want to lose them...

Is this possible? anything I should keep an eye on?

Thanks
