unable to set dataset object name same as item id.

Hello Team,

as mentioned in above subject line,

I want to dataset to be created when i create an item, i have achieved this task by OOTB extensions.

But by default, datasets are taking the name in "item id /item revision id" format instead of "item id"

 for example in below example, when i am creating item, dataset with below name is coming..

where dataset object name is 000030/A

pdf1.PNG

this object name i need as of item id means only 000030

pdf2.PNG

Even we can change the display name from business objects constant. but its real object name will be same,

so instead of changing its only display name, we want its object name should in required format.

Datasets can have a global naming pattern

DATASET_saveas_pattern=${ItemID}-${RevisionID}

Or they can have unique naming pattern based on type

TC_ugmaster_name_separator=/
UGMASTER_saveas_pattern=${ItemID}/${RevisionID}
UGPART_saveas_pattern=${ItemID}-${RevisionID}-${UserText}
UGALTREP_saveas_pattern=${ItemID}-${RevisionID}-${UserText}

Following the format <ds_type>_saveas_pattern.

Creating a default dataset when an Item is created requires IRDC (configured in BMIDE). Look it up in help which is pretty good.

Hello randy,

Thanks for your reply,

I tried with below preferences but still I'm unable to set the name as only item id.

can it be possible without writing code?
