Batch Item Creation

I was wondering if there was a way to do a batch creation of Items in Teamcenter. Similar to how part families work with creation, but we don't want them linked.

The idea being that you have a table similar to below to import into TC and it would create them all at once rather than making them all individually.

If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome!

Thanks!

Logan

Re: Batch Item Creation

Naturally, there are a whole bunch of ways to create Items in a batch process. Here are a couple:

  1. Use the Excel Live office integration.
  2. Old school using the ps_upload utility and a configuration file.

Best,

/Randy

Re: Batch Item Creation

It actually turned out that we didn't need this process, so I never persued it further. I would suggest trying Randy Ellsworth's solution from above.
