Uninstall and reinstalling the client is the easiest way to correct it.

Hi,

You can't modify tc character encoding but you can check.

In TC_DATA, you can see tc_profilevars.bat.

The environment value of TC_XML_ENCODING in bat file is your currently charaset.

I guess this setting is defined by DB charaset automatically.

What character set do you want to use?

change TC_DATA\tc_profilevars

Set TC_XML_ENCODING parameter to your desied one.

also

2-Tier Client:

In the TC_ROOT/iiopservers/Start_TcServer1set TC_CHARACTER_ENCODING_SET to your desied.

4-Tier Client:

In the TC_ROOT/pool_manager/mgrstartMYDB,set TC_CHARACTER_ENCODING_SET to your desied.

Thank you., We use UTF-8 and we wanted to chage to ISO-18559-1

We amde the below changes but still the syslog was pointing to UTF-8.

After we set the LANG env variable to en_US, then the TcServer Character Encoding was displayed correctly as ISO-18559-1
