Hi,

How can I create an assembly with empty Items in Teamcenter without NX?

Is it possible in Structure Manager?

Yes, you can build your assembly in Structure Manager then send it to NX.

you can do this in 2 ways:

1. Copy/Paste: Select an Item/ItemRevision and copy. Then open Structure Manager and paste. If you select an item1 in structure manager and paste item2, then item2 will be child of item1.

2. Create Items: Open structure manager and create item using File-New-Item. If item1 is selected while creating item2, item1 will be the parent of item2

Save the changes in the end.

Hi,

If you donot have NX installed then also you can also create a Assembly structure in Teamcenter

Create a new Item -  File > New > Item > Assign ID and Rev > Finish.

and then select the Newly created Item Revision  -

and Add the BVR by  - File > New > BOM View Revision > Ok

You can also add BVR to existing item revison, Once BVR is added to the Item revisoin then it is open the Item in Structure manager and add number of component you want to add to it as mentioned by Amol_XPLM.

Please find attachment for details.

If you donot have the option as described in Image, contact your IT support.
