Waited 1 day and TC11 still won't allow me to log-in.

  • Here are the enviroment variables. ( No FMS HOME.)

Someone said this would help ? I have no idea.

Deleted data from: ( This is easy and it's ok but won't do anything.)

  • C:\Users\\FCCCache
  • C:\Users\\Siemens\logs
  • C:\Users\\Teamcenter\RAC
  • C:\Users\\Appdata \Local\Temp

Start FMS-service ? ( I don't know where FMS HOME is located ? )

  1. cd %FMS_HOME%
  2. cd bin
  3. fccstat –status
  4. fccstat –kill
  5. fccstat –start

Manually start it with "Admin-rights" ? ( I don't know the Admin's user+pass ? )

  • http://host:8083/mgmt/console ( *host*=Teamcenter server name.)

Good afternoon, do you have installed 2 Tier or 4 Tier Teamcenter client? Do you use only one Teamcenter client? If you use one Teamcenter client, usually
FMS_HOME is set in the environment variables of the computer. I don't see it on your screenshot.

Example environment variable:
FMS_HOME=<client_path>\tccs

where <client_path> path to the installed client

TCPROD 4-tier

  • I log in to 4-tier.

1 Teamcenter client ?

  • I don't know. We have multiple users=usernames.
  • No "FMS_HOME=<client_path>\tccs"
  • I have added manually: UGII_ENV_FILE    \\PRO-TC-001\NX_Site\ugii_env.dat

FMS_HOME is normally set in portal.bat (%TC_ROOT%\portal\portal.bat)

you should have lines like

set TPR=C:\PLM\TC113\portal
if not defined FMS_HOME set FMS_HOME=C:\PLM\TC113\tccs

Did you pin your Teamcenter to the Taskbar in Windows?

then it will not work, because portal.bat is not pinned, Windows will pin 'Teamcenter.exe', not the batch file

set TPR=C:\Siemens\TCPROD\TC114T\portal
set FMS_HOME=C:\Siemens\TCPROD\TC114T\tccs
%FMS_HOME%\bin\fccstat -kill

That looks ok,

fccstat -kill is not necessarily needed

can you comment this out

rem %FMS_HOME%\bin\fccstat -kill

and try again to start portal.bat

There were never FMS_HOME in Environment variables and it still worked for many years.

  • Why FMS_HOME is important ?

How to set FMS_HOME environment variable again ?
High change that my virus scanner has deleted it accidentally.
