How to clone the latest revision of a BOM existing in PROD to non-PROD where old rev of BOM exists?

We have a non-PROD environment which is not refreshed from PROD in recent months. For some testing purposes we need to clone the latest version of BOM from PROD to non-PROD. We tried PLMXML but it failed. Are there any other options?

Plmxml should work. What errors do you get? If you cant get it working then you could try creating a new transfermode and closurerule by copying the plmxml ones as tcxml. Then, you would have to command line export maybe using uid.
You may have to do an export from Test server 1st to get server id and copy these to the Prod exported xml.

You may also have to empty the label/version field of the uid of any new objects ie the BV and BVR.

A much easier method is IPS if you have this? Its a siemens tool which you can purchase.
