Pro E Creo Assembly failed when child parts migrated to NX in Teamcenter

[ Edited ]

Hi All,

We are migrating some parts from Pro E to NX in Teamcenter by creating a new revisions. But reporting Pro E assemblies of migrated parts(which are also in teamcenter) are failing to load the child parts of original revisions. So is there any way to load Pro E assemblies in teamcenter fully with child parts of original revisions after migration?

Are you using Content Migration Manager (CMM)?

No, We are not using Content Migration Manager. We are opening Pro E parts (from teamcenter) directly in NX and performing save as to new revision and start building it in NX.

Hi @pb_suhas,

ProE part files have the file extension as ". prt" which is same for NX part files. So it is not possible to know whether a file is created in ProE or NX. You have to create a new part file in NX and use File > Import > Pro/E so that part file or assembly will be imported into the current NX part.

Hi Ganesh_Kadole

We are migrating the Pro E parts in the Teamcenter to NX by creating new revision and retaining the same part number. Problem is after migration, respective Pro E higher assemblies which contains those migrated parts(Original Pro E revisions) are failing to load those parts. Apart from those migrated parts, all other parts are loading successfully. In NX also there are no issues.
