Query using wildcard / placeholders from Naming Rules

Creator
Creator

Hi,

Customer wants to search all items with specific number of characters in item_id. This works fine with '?' wildcard character. However, like Naming Rule, we need to limit the criteria only to numbers and exclude any special characters matched against the placeholders. Ex: ?????? search criteria gives items with id 000256 and 000_41.

We need to exclude these unwanted special characters while matching with Item ID.

Like in Naming rules pattern, can we specify 'NNNNNN'  or '^[1-9]$'to match against only numbers?

Have anyone come across any solution?

We tried multiple combinations from the Naming rule patterns and think this could be a new ER!!

Simple search will work.  Set the arguments for Item_ID as !=.  for example:

Item(ID) != *_*

Item(ID) = ????????
