Usually red "X" mark indicates some of the actions associated with your perform signoff tasks were not completed succesfully or got failed.

A "Warning"/ "Error" will be displayed in such cases as soon as some one completes/ performs sign off tasks.

We have used Teamcenter for 2 weeks:
- These red crosses X happen on some parts when CTRL+P approving is performed.
- Why this Error happens ? Am I able to find any readable info(error.log) from Teamcenter to explain ?

Re: Tasks To Track "X"-mark meaning ?

Is there any error while performing approval?  Also If possible could you share it here.

If you want to debug through syslog file, Goto -> Help->About.

Capture the Rich Client Log File, for your current session log. If possible you can share it here, so that we could understand what sort of errors is Teamcenter encountering during approval process.

One more thing, Is the approval process completed ? or it is stuck in task to track and not moving ahead to its subsequent tasks.

Re: Tasks To Track "X"-mark meaning ?

As the screenshort clearly states :" You are adding invalid user to complete this sign off task."

One of your workflow handlers is checking for specific user to be added to complete this task. The valid user might belong to a "particular" group. Until a valid user is added to this task, all the sign off tasks for this particular workflow will fall into "Task to track folder".

Does your respective task any task instructions. It might help you in selecting appropriate user for this task.

If not you have to dig in deep into task handlers.

You can check workflow handlers using below method:

1. Send the erroneous workflow to workflow viewer.

2. Select the task which is failing/ or has EPM-Inherit rule.

3. Check for TCRS-CheckApprover handler argument and value.

You can share this particular information if possible.

Good Luck !!

Re: Tasks To Track "X"-mark meaning ?

Since your workflow is  stuck at "Approve" task, Select that task ( Highlighted on left top window) in your workflow, and then revisit the task handler button.

Go back to workflow viewer which you pasted in previous reply.

And select Approve task, then select task handler button. Attached snapshot below.

You have to look for below keywords  to find a valid user for sign off tasks.

 TCRS check approver, EPM Inherit.
