Team Center with new update of NX installed

Experimenter
Experimenter

So we are upgrading from NX9.0 to 10.0 then possibly 11.0

We use TC 10

How do we tell TC 10 to use the new installed NX Package instead of the previously installed NX 9.0 Package.

Thanks

Presumably there is a change in Path from the old NX9 to the new NX10 installation location? Depending on how the rich client was deployed, TEM or OTW, you have to change the location for NX. If TEM then launch TEM on the client to change the location. If OTW then launch INSWEB on the server to change the rich client instance context parameters for the NX location and clients will get the update on next launch.

Thanks for the quick response. Would you mind stating the terms for TEM or OTW. I am mainly

the user with limited knowledge of rich clients.  I will have to assist our IT for a any server based

applications and i know the look i will get if i use acrynoms.

We can reverse engineering if you're using TEM or OTW for your rich client. You used TEM to install the rich client if you see a PORTAL_ROOT\portal directory. You used OTW to install the rich client if you see a PORTAL_ROOT\rac directory. So on your client, do you see portal or rac?
