Hi Everyone.

We have our drawing templates stored in Teamcenter.

I now want to make slight changes to them.  When I open the draft it gives me the option to save as or revise.  Save as works, but I want to revise it.

When I click revise, then click new I get the message shown below.

The file doen't show the released flag.

I am an adminitrator and that doesn't help either.

What do I need to do?

Typically, the template uses a separate Item and ItemRevision. I can try to help tell you how to do this, but for sure, what do you want?

Hi Arthur.

I will be doing a big overhall of our draft template in the near future.

For this excersize, all I want to do is change how it opens so at this point I do not need to make it a new revision.

It opens as 2D Model.  I want it to open as Working Sheet.

So all it is is, open, click the woking sheet tab, resave.

As a temporary and quick solution, try using Bypass:

Click OK, Try Revise.

It's important not to abuse Bypass and if you need to do this often, then you'd better set up the rights in the Access Manager application

Hi Arthur.

Doing what you suggest doesn't work.

I do not get the option to revise in teamcenter.

I get the same message when trying to revise in SE.

How do you try Revise in Teamcenter, that way?

And It does not work?

Hi Arthur.

I have now got it to REV 'B'.  I open it up and do what I need to do then save.

When I close, it comes up with the upload document window, but the unique identifier is blank and the revision has a '-'.  I cannot overwrite these cells.

If I need to revise a drawing, I open it in SE, then revise when I get the option.

Check access to the object Right click - Access ...

When you set Bypass you must have all the rights to the object.

After you set Bypass, did you restart the SE?

Hi Arthur.

When ever I go into admin mode and bypass, I have never restarted SE.  I didn't know I had to.

This is my access.

I restared SE and I still cannot change the id or revCapture.JPG
