I would like to know if there a way to track changes made to an excel sheet through teamcenter. Like a log would be created recording any changes made to the sheet or compare two versions of the excel sheet in teamcenter. Also I would like to know if the markup option available for MS Word files is also available for MS Excel sheets.

Considering the end user perspective, if it is related to changes made in document content, I will use default functions available in word as well as excel.
For word document, 'Track Changes' with 'Show Markup' option. You can use 'Compare' option within the word document by opening the two different versions of dataset from Teamcenter.
For excel document, 'Track Changes' will enough as it will highlight the cells that has been changed.
Show Markup option is not available in excel. I don't know if there is any other way to achieve it. But when you use Track Changes option, cells get highlighted with comment for each cell which describes the changes done to it.
