rollback "always run in background" preference for queries

Hi,

today I clicked the "Always run in background" box during executing a search.
I know that I can see the activity in the lower right corner but I would like to roll back this prefence.

In the search options I couldn't find something about it.

many thanks.

Re: rollback "always run in background" preference for queries

quick and (dirty) solution should be to delete to RAC cache on the client...

Re: rollback "always run in background" preference for queries

thanks xtof,

quick and (dirty , indeed Smiley Wink

Wouldn't be surprised if this would the "official" solution by Teamcenter...

...any other ideas?

Re: rollback "always run in background" preference for queries

If you don't want to delete the whole RAC cache for some reason then you can look for the "cookie" responsible and delete it. C:\Users\<username>\Teamcenter\RAC\<datetime>\.metadata\.plugins\com.teamcenter.rac.util\*.cookie
Probably easier to just delete the whole RAC directory as @xtof suggested.

Re: rollback "always run in background" preference for queries

after some testing I am pretty sure it is the following file controlling that preference:

"C:\Users\<user.name>\Teamcenter\RAC\<datetime>\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.runtime\.settings\org.eclipse.ui.workbench.prefs"

thanks for your support!
