This question was asked during the live webcast:Q: What kind of report generators do you have for the post-processed info?A: Measurements can be reported in three different formats:
The CMM Analysis Tech Tip includes more information on measurement results:
This question was asked during the live webcast:Q: Are the post processors developed and editable using the Post Builder?A: The posts are not developed in Post Builder, but are made with the standard .tcl files that are familiar to NX CAM post writers.
This question was asked during the live webcast:Q: Which version of NX are we seeing here? What version will have the analysis capability?A: This Tech Tip was demonstrated in NX 8.5, which was just released. The Analysis capabilitiy is first available in NX 188.8.131.52
This question was asked during the live webcast:Q: What additional licenses would be needed for this ability?A: The CMM Inspection Programming package in NX includes CAD capabilities, PMI tools, and the CMM programming and simulation tools. The new Analysis capabilities are included in the same CMM Inspection Programming package, and does not require any additional license.
This question was asked during the live event:Q: What type of fixturing is supported? Rayco, R&R, etc.A: Any NX Assembly items can be included as fixturing. The NX re-use library can be used to provide standard fixturing components. More info is available on the Re-use Library in the Tech Tips on this topic:
This question was asked during the live webcast:Q: Do you recommend a preferred Teamcenter application for storing CMM inspection data?A: The DMIS (or other format) CMM programs can be vaulted, or stored in Teamcenter, if that is in use. Dimensional Planning and Validation (DPV) will store measurement data in Teamcenter, then provide the opportunity to create lots of reports.
This question was asked during the live webcast:Q: Is the NX CMM inspection programming module associative to NX CAD?A: Yes. The NX CMM programs are built on the NX CAD models and completely associative.
is there an instructional video that details how to create a standardized template we can use every time we start a new job?
