Hello, this is what version of Nx, where I find this is in the creation of operation?

In Siemens NX (1847) released January 2019, it is a new program order group type.

Nice to see this in NX.

Exactly 3 years ago, I wrote an App for Narrow channels which is still in use, to program 3-5 axis contour toolpaths in a desired step milling pattern to support variable level, variable step, variable depths. This also aids lights-out machining. Serves as an alternative for Sequential mill Looping option. Could introduce spring passes at needed areas . All of this in a simple interface with editing capabilities..

@billstorrs Is it possible to share your sample part file which was showed in the video?

I tried to use this nice feature but I don't get the expected result. The trajectory obtained is not different from the sequence of my 2 initial operations

I am using NX1851 release

In which release does it work?

I tried to use this feature "MERGE_PATH" in NX1872.

I tried to combine 2 operation, one with 10 steps in depth and one with 40 steps in depth.

The operations are made as 5-axis variable contour and both are correct.

I choose "Contour Count" and filled in a lot of different combinations in the table but none of them worked out.

Each combination gives me only a "Concatenation" of these files.

Do I have to put a special variable in NX or what do I do wrong?

I started with a 5-axis Multi Blade operation to rough and finish but the same result as the other operations.

Problem solved with "Merge_Path".

Date : 12-aug-2019
We solved the issue with "Merge_Path".

There is a preference setting that's causing the problem that it's not working!
In "Manufacturing Preferences" there is a setting called "Do Smart Regeneration when Possible" and this should be "ON"!

Now the "Merge_Path" is working as designed.
