Question:

Customer is asking :

  1. I would like to execute read dll in DotNetCommand without opening Customize menu.
  2. If above is not possible, please tell me the method to execute a command in load_document.

Answer:

The Connect() method of the command is called only when the command is part of the application toolbar or when we open the Customize dialog.

So there are two solutions for that:

  1. Add the MainCommand command to the PSR toolbar (D&D from the Customization dialog to the toolbar and then press Save Customization) – next time when he opens the PSR the command will work as expected.
  2. Create a new toolbar from the customize dialog and add the command to that tool bar – again Save Customization – next time when he opens the PSR the command will work as expected.

When customization is applied, the PSR creates an xml file that contains the current customization. If it is for internal use(within the company), users that use the same PSR version can copy that file under their machines and use the same settings.

So only one user can do step 1. Or 2. And then share it with the others. The customization file is under C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Tecnomatix\Process Simulate\<version>\newassembler.xml

There is also an option to create a public layout that will contain the command/toolbar and share it with the other users. You can check in the PSR user manual for Layout Manager command.
