Re: Dynamic Collision Report

Hi,

The Detailed Collision Report is meant to show All the Collision during the simulated path between the 2 objects selected in the Main Report.

For example… the Main report shows a large list of collisions between a bunch of objects in the cell.  You are only concerned about the collision of a particular Weld Gun and Fixture but the report is too big to find them all easily.  In this case you select any row from the Main report that shows a collision between the Weld Gun and Fixture, then select the Detailed Report Tab.

The detail report will show all the collision between these 2 objects and give you a filter icon to quickly filter the results even more.

Also think about Final Assembly applications where someone might be trying to load a Seat into a Car opening on the line.  The report can become very large when there are collisions between the seat (many assemblies and parts) and the door frame (again many assemblies, trim pieces, etc).

Also if you double click on a line in the Dynamic Collision Report it will jump the simulation to that location in the graphic viewer.

I tried to post this reply via email a while back, but it ended up failing...
