How to create a robot work envelop in PS standalone 12.0/12.1..?
Saw that there was an option for envelop creation for Jack human. Do we have anything similar for a robot.
IMHO: you cannot create robot work envelope in PS.
You probably mean Swept volume command. It creates "work envelope" of selected robot path(s).
I have worked with swept volume which is useful when there is a operation associated with a robot.
But my requirement is that for a specific robot is it possible to create a work volume.
ie, if a robot placed at a location, want to check its maximum reachablility. (without any assiciation with a operation).
This information is usually in the robot documentation.
What is more, as I remember, when you download/receive a 3D model of robot from Fanuc, there is always work envelope in 3D. It could be the same with other robot manufacturers.
This could work if robot envelop data is available with cad file.
I have come across few areas where only IGES files are provided and Kinematics, joint functions has to be defined new and tested for maximum reach with help of robot envelop.
In this case swept volume will not be applicable i think...
