Assuming you ue Process Simulate on eMServer, you can use the "Import CAD Files" command.

It is available from the Navigation Tree ( File menu).

Re: How to import .JT to Process Simulate?

I did that, but an error message that says that the xml file could not be created appears, what should I do to correct that?

Re: How to import .JT to Process Simulate?

Strange. It should work. Do you have a problem with any JT file, even a simple one?

Which PS version do you use?

Gil.

Re: How to import .JT to Process Simulate?

I´m using PS 11.0.2, and that problem doesn't appear with simpler files.

Re: How to import .JT to Process Simulate?

Dear all,

Could you tell if I can import gun and robot ft data into process simulate. I execute the program standalone and i could not find a way to import jt file and also i could not manage to import the.co robcad file that includes kinematic stuff  into process simulate.

As i importing the file i get a error like in attachments.

Could you send me file step bt step importing, it would be great.

Thanks in advanced

Re: How to import .JT to Process Simulate?

good morning,

you can import CAD Files via CAD import function. (show customize)

before you import *.cojt file to your cell please delete the tunedata.xml under *.cojt folder.

with CAD import function creates a new tunedata.xml file.

after the CAD import function you can import the 3d file (*.cojt) via "insert component from file"

Please check you systemroot.

you can only insert 3d files under system root.

Kind regards,

Re: How to import .JT to Process Simulate?

PS Standalone uses library on the local disk. You should set the library folder first. So:

1. Tools - Options - Disconnected - Client System Root

Set the folder here

2. For data import use UpgradeToVersionWin utility. It can be found in the PS instalation folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Tecnomatix_12\eMPower)

3. Then you must use Define Component Type Command in PS.
