Line Simulation - Weld location attached to part

Hi everyone,

Problem working with Line Sim. I have weld locations attached on parts as normal. When I switch in sim mode the parts disappear and the weld locations attached to them are moved in the origin of the station, very far from the robot working space.

The result is that the robot can not perform the motion along the paths.

Do you know a way to fix it?

Thanks!

In Line Sim the part are not available like in standard mode.

In Line Sim you need to work with appearances and with the Material Flow.

Before you start the simulation goto the operation tree, search your operation that simulates the part e.g. the weld operation. Right click and then click "Generate Appearences" now the part is show in Graphic Viewer.

Important: After finishing this operation, the part(Appearance) will be removed from simulation.

Use Relocate to put the part(Appearance) into your station.

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for your reply. I know that parts disappear in LineSIm. With your suggestion I can solve the problem, but I would like to understand how this work. Sometimes saving in a proper way I'm able to let the part and the paths in the same postion when I switch from standard to LineSim, but other times the same procedure doesn't work. Oftren I have a lot of part to relocate and it is quite tough.

Anyway thank you for the support.

The parts/appearance' location is stored on the operation.
1. select operation
2. generate appearance
3. relocate to desired location
4. you may (not a must) delete the appearance
5. store the study
