I have a robot cell that includes the following items:
- 9 robots with tools and stations.
- about 8000 PLC signals
- about 1200 robot paths
- 200 logic blocks
Yes, I know this is a high number of items/components in the cell, but
the time for the load and save process of this cell is very very long. (about 1,5h).
During this time it is not possible to do any other work in the cell.
Does anyone know, why it needs that long time to load and safe the cell??
Are there any settings I can setup to have a better performance???
Solved! Go to Solution.
I received an information which was useful for my issue.
In the Admin Console I performed "Refresh Schema" and "Analyize Schema".
After both commands were executed, the load and save time is now 15-20 minutes.
It is not the final solution, but it is much better than before.
You could also try removing the check from the "Capture cell preview upon Save psz" checkbox under the General tab in the Options dialog.
Hope this will further help,
the problem I think robots are the 1200 paths with complete logic.
I think your solution will not have a big effect for our issue.
As Ben said before, we have a huge number of robot paths in our study.
Additionally, the combination of this study with having the database on a network server makes the data transfer very slow.
The robot path are stored in XML files. For each saving process, PS has to rewrite this XML files, which requires process time.
