I am trying to import Robcad resource in RobotExpert v11.0 (File->Import/Export->Covert CAD Files). The conversion process ends with status
Conversion completed successfully: D:\Dokumenti\Uporabnik\My Documents\Tecnomatix\Cells\Convert Test\Libraries\Resources\kr5_arc_hw.co
However, only .geo file is located inside kr5_arc_hw.cojt directory (no kr5_arc_hw.jt file) and the resource could not be inserted in the cell file.
What am I doing wrong?
Ales, I was able to import your Robcad Kuka robot into RobotExpert v10.1.
Check the following: Target Folder Path should be under your LibraryRoot. Ensure that the Base class for import is Resource. Component class is Robot. Upon conversion a cojt folder is created with a JT and TuneData.xml inside the folder. Robot contains kinematics.
If this is still a problem for you could you post your log file?
Here is the content of log file (RobotExpert v11)
Conversion completed successfully: D:\Dokumenti\Uporabnik\My Documents\Tecnomatix\Cells\Convert Test\Libraries\Resources\kr5_arc.co
As I said, everything seems O.K., but it is not.
I can also confirm that conversion works in RobotExpert v10.1. Seems to be a problem of version v11.
I was able to import the Kuka robot into RobotExpert V11 today. Not sure what is going on with your environment. Its possible something did not get registered correctly at install. I would suggest getting GTAC involved.
I am attaching the JT version.
Unfortunately I do not have first level support with Siemens PLM (maybe because of academic license type).
“Our customer records show that you do not have first level support with Siemens PLM but instead have contracted through a third party. Please contact your distributor or reseller for technical support.”
I have checked installation log, which does not indicate any error.
So, I will just have to use 10.1 installation for co2cojt conversion services. Anyway, thanks for your help.
As an academic user, you do have access to our customer support (GTAC) system. Have a look at the header of your license file for a WebKey access code. This will allow you to create one WebKey for access to GTAC. You can do this online on the support web page, or call the GTAC phone # and connect to option 2, 6; this will connect you to web support and they can help with creating a WebKey. Please also make a note of your SoldTo ID from the license file, as GTAC may need this number to assist you.
Once you have a WebKey, you can then get direct support.
