I'm a new user of process simulate and have the following question. I downloaded a robot model from ABB's webpage in Robcad format. I want to import this model inte PS and tried the "Upgrade CO to version" but I couldn't get it to work. Nothing at all happened when I used the software, no changes to the .CO file, no JT-file or log-file was created. Can someone please give me some instructions how to proceed!!!!
It is likely that this robot model is a Robcad Supercomponent (i.e. includes sub components). in this case you need to have all subcomponents and set properly the library root in the upgradeToComponent dialog.
this is not a supercomponent. I think the problem is that you did not install CAD Setup and you are missing some software elements.
Is it possible for you to be more specific? I have installed the CAD-translators from CD2, is there something more that has be there to get it work?
this is very strange. Do you have upgradetoversion.exe in the eMPower folder? tyou can run the conversion as command line.
In any case, that component converts properly, the result is attached
Try to use command line version directly:
upgradetoversion -comp "full path to your .co" -co2jt
upgradetoversion -comp "D:\technomatix\Robot_models\ABB\irb6_5.co" -co2jt
I think you robot in .co file is an older robcad model.
Unfortunately, there is no .info file included in the .co.
But I think it is an older model.
In this case you need to upgrade to component first.
The command is upgrade_to_version -comp >> this is only available if Robcad is installed on your machine.
