Some Questions RobotExpert

I have some questions about RobotExpert

  1. Automatic control of external axis (i.e. L-shape rotator) according to pre-set welding conditions, i.e. keep the torch posture perpendicular to ground level at all times, with this in mind the software should automatically  position the external axis to conform to this particularwelding condition
  2. Automatic collision free path creation between welds
  3. Welding parameter database (WPS parameters) implementation
  4. Software recognising weld joint profile, material specs and material thickness(based on parameters captured in 3D CAD), compares to WPS database and assigns appropriate welding parameters to weld

Best regards

Re: Some Questions RobotExpert

1. We have a dedicated tool "Arc Continuous Positioning" in OlpTool package

2. We have a dedicated tool "Automatic Path Planner" aka APP

Are this function include RobotExpert or did we need additional options?

Re: Some Questions RobotExpert

OlpTool is addon package that is also available for Robot Expert. You can find it on GTAC.

I think Automatic Path Planner is a standard command directly on the DVD.

Re: Some Questions RobotExpert

For "Automatic Path Planner" you need an extra license. You can find it in the top menu bar under "Operations" .

OLP Tools you can find in the customize menu:

1. right mouse click on the free space of the menu bar and select "customize"

2. on the left side of the window you will find the OLP tools.

Re: Some Questions RobotExpert

Just to clarify:

Automatic Path Planner does not exist in RobotExpert at all, regardless of license.

It is avaiable only in Process Simulate (with a special license).
