Back to customization... How can I apply a custimization from .ppc file? I guess it somehow refers to ProcessPlanner Customization tool but I can't find it.
Since you're asking about Customization I assume you're past the previous issue of setting a working schema.
In PS (on eMS) go to File->Project Management->Import eBOP Customization (In Process Designer its under File->Import).
You need to select the folder where the .ppc file is located and click ok.
Few side notes:
- The customization folder should have the same name as the .ppc file.
- Make sure you close all DB connections before importing a schema.
Also, following your question we're updating the Help page for importing a customization.
Thank goodness (that is Patrick) I have set working schema I tried to import the customization the way you described, but I received a notification that I should close all sessions (is it the same as yours "close all DB connections"? In the same time to start PS I should log in. That means that at least one session must be established. I can't figure out.
Close Process Simulate and run Admin Console.
Go to Session Administration as you can see in the picture.
Select all the displayed sessions and click "kill sessions"
Afterwards, restart PS and try to import the customization again.
step 1: starting AdminConsole, logging in
I've got the only my own (administrator) session which I can't kill:
then I click OK, exit AdminConsole and start PS. I should log in:
Skipping Project selection, going to Import eBOP Customization:
Selecting folder containing .ppc file:
Sitting sad and confused
Let's try 2 things:
1.Check login status: Goto Admin Console->eMserver Administration->Enable\Disable Login. If you only have 1 user the "Disable" button should be disabled. Otherwise disable logins and try again.
2. A restart. Reboot the machine, Set the schema again and try importing the customization again.
Please let me know how this works.
Also - what version are you using ?
Why do you want to import the robotics customization?
Have you installed a robot controller?
If so, go to the path editor and open the "customize columns" dialog.
If there are several items e.g. Kuka-Krc instead of the default, then the robotics cust is already loaded.
The reason was I didn't disable logins. Appears this button doesn't affect the administrator login what I was scared into.
Thank you guys!
Now I proceed to set up KUKA KRC controller. It requires this exact customization:
