Upload default robotic program from Robcad

Hello guys,

I'm trying to upload in Process Simulate a default robot program from Robcad.

Unfortunately I get the error message: input file has missing robrot information.

The test.default file looks like this:

prog_start up_call_r150pg01
SW_DEFAULT_VIA_SPEED 1000.000000
SW_DEFAULT_VIA_MOTYPE 1
SW_DEFAULT_WELD_ZONE_NAME fine
SW_DEFAULT_VIA_ZONE_NAME fine
SW_DEFAULT_WELD_GUN_STATE 2
SW_DEFAULT_VIA_GUN_STATE 4
SW_DEFAULT_WELD_TIME_ON_PT 0.800000
SW_DEFAULT_WELD_GUN_WAIT 0
SW_DEFAULT_VIA_GUN_WAIT 0
robot_name r_op_050_r01
tcpf -1290.233765,0.900284,423.147034,180.000006,0.000000,180.000006
path_start up_call_r150pg01

I have the default.apg file for the robcad attributes option. What am I doing wrong?

Is it even possible to upload a default program?

Thanks,

Endre

Re: Upload default robotic program from Robcad

Which Robcad version are you using? On old Robcad versions, a patched default.apg is needed (attached, also distributed in Upload Robcad Robotic Program setup).

Also you can export from Robcad via Path Editor / Store Path.

Patched default.apg

Re: Upload default robotic program from Robcad

I have this file with the same content, and i select it when trying to upload.

When tring to uload path from path editor, it still gives the same error.

I am using Robcad 9.1 and Tecnomatix 10.1

Re: Upload default robotic program from Robcad

You need to restart Robcad in case you change default.apg. You might need to update Upload Robcad Robotic Program for Tecnomatix 10.1 from GTAC.

Re: Upload default robotic program from Robcad

Thanks for the tip, I downloaded Tecnomatix_10.1_UPLOAD_ROBCAD_ROBOTIC_PROGRAM_64BIT_v2.3.2_30_09_2013.exe from the FTP server but it still doesn't work. I don't really understand the connection between Robcad and default.apg.

I have this file on a different location than Robcad or the project folder. Do I need to move this file somwhere else and then restart Robcad?

Re: Upload default robotic program from Robcad

Yes, you should put it under %ROBCAD%\dat\olp\default replacing the existing one. It will modify the output from Robcad / OLP / Download to suit Process Simulate Upload Robcad Robotic Program.

Re: Upload default robotic program from Robcad

"Upload successfully completed".

Thank you very much for the help.
