With standard PLC for BMW - newest one, SIMATIC S7-1500 I couldn't export complete symbol list with adresses what I need to work in Process Simulate.
Also I heard somewere that it's possiblem with some tool to export all PLC logic to xml file.
Do anyone know something about?
Do you work with Step 7 or TIA V13?
TIA has no way (today) to export the complete symbol list. (with structure or UDTs)
Today you have no chance to import your TIA symbol list in process simulate.
You can only export the available symbols convert to excel or xml and import the signal via this way in PS.
TIA projects connect to ps is planing in next ps version.
What do You mean about connecting TIA projects with PS is planning in next version?
What about export HW Config and .sdb files to create project .spf?
Do You possibly have some information about?
in actuall ps version you can import sdf file from step 7 classic.
TIA V13 portal has other structure of signals.
Today you have no way to export these.
One other way:
you find a other way to export your signals from TIA Project to excel. (example)
Convert the excel file to correct xml syntax and import the xml file to ps.
this is a easy way to import your signals from PLC program.
Just check the manual, it's all written down there.
In short, when importing a signals row:
1. PS checks wether the signals exists, if not it creates it
2. it connects it to the given resource and the given entry/exit (pin)
3. it updates all attributes, like address, and comment
You can have a single xls-mapping-file and import it again and again, whenever you have changes in the table.
One more question in this topic. I menage to export this list, but as a name I have now around 40 symbols, sometimes even more. Is it possible to import into PS signals with this long naming?
I always imported signals via .sdf file.
Could also someone send an e.g. of structure of document in xml (as someone mentioned before) that is readable by PS?
I don't know about which manual You were speaking about, what is inside my PS You can see in attachment.
Despite this I figured out myself how Connection Mapping is working.
I need just a little addendum.
Is there a way to add signals this way when I don't have logic block for them? Just non connected signal?
How is it working when I would have for e.g. 2 clamps with the same name?
Or for case like this it's necessary to make an xml?
