Band limited (10 Hz – 1000 Hz) burst random 5V pink noise ?

I am working with a volume velocity acoustic source to measure FRF’s on a vehicle and I need to generate a band limited (10 Hz – 1000 Hz) burst random 5V pink noise. However, spectral testing does not allow me to limit spectral content of the output signal when pink noise is selected. Can you help me find a work around?

Here are two options

 

Option #1 - Use MIMO FRF Testing

 

  1. Start MIMO FRF Testing module ( Windows 7 : Start -> all programs-> LMS Testlab-> Test Lab Structures Acquisitions -> MIMO FRF Testing )
  2. Open source control ( Tools -> Add-Ins -> source control ).
  3. Go to scope worksheet and turn on output channel ( check box on right side of screen)
  4. Change signal type - shaped random and press the “More…” button ( above source lists )
  5. Hit “Edit profile…” in “Extended Source Parameters” menu
  6. Enter frequencies and amplitudes in the table then press “Done” and “Close”
  7. Your all set

Option #2 - Q Amplifier

 

Additionally if you have a new Q source amplifier(Q-AMP) it has a high pass filter which can be used to limit the band of the pink noise (see attachment).

Great ... I just upgraded to TL18 and I can run MIMO FRF Testing with tokens
