Get rid of spikes from tacho?

Sometimes when I measure my rpm I get spikes in the tachometer signal like this:

I am tapping into an electrical signal that sparks the motor.

Any ideas?  Is there a way to "fix" the data maybe?  I included an example file here in the post.

I tried using the smoothing function in the TACHO_MOMENTS_TO_RPM command to reprocess your tach, and got this as a result:

The TACHO_MOMENTS_TO_RPM is part of the Time Signal Calculator.  Your data had the "raw:Tacho" moments (the time stamps of the pulse crossings). These were needed to recalculate the smoother rpm.

Because the spikes were symmetric around zero, I set a smoothing factor which averaged the rpm out.

In this case, a smoothing factor of 30 seemed to work well.
