I would like to know how "use Semi-Stationary Averaging" in the Aquisition parameters of the Time Data Processing worksheet work. When is it useful and can I use it for fluctuating tacho signals, that means no constant tacho signal and no run up, too?
You can select "Use Semi-Stationary Averaging" when tracking on Time, Tacho, Static or Event. It allows you to do averaging at each tracking point. I would only use it for a really slow run up or run dow, or a a stepped acquisition where you want acquisitions at each step. The steps could be differing speeds, different loads, etc.
I would avoid it if frequencies are changing from average to average.
