Intel rolled out a keynote address at CES Wednesday night that was a two-hour Internet of Things (IoT) technology parade. The company showed off a Segway that can help around the house; a Yuneec drone that flew around the ballroom and, using sensors, avoided other moving objects; new shoes from New Balance that have 3D-printed midsoles; and plenty of other Things.
“Consumers are choosing experiences over products,” said Brian Krzanich, Intel’s CEO, USA Today reports. Intel seems less interested in its name being front and center than having its technology in a wide variety of other consumer products.
2016 just may be the year of IoT!
