Recently, the Siemens PLM Charlotte NC offices were featured in Black EOE Journal’s 2016 Best of the Best Summer edition for their partnership with NC A&T. See below for the full editorial and more information on the partnership and Siemens continued support of the top HBCUs.
For over 18 years, Siemens PLM Software has proudly supported the top 15 historically black colleges and universities in the U.S. These HBCUs collectively graduate 35% of under-represented engineers in the country each year. Siemens supports one of these top HBCUs, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T), with software grants for NX, Solid Edge, & Technomatix and with internship opportunities for engineers. With the recent additions of new Siemens PLM Software offices in Charlotte, NC, Steve Bashada, SVP Cloud Services and Karim Lokas, Senior Vice President, Products and Marketing wanted to take the current partnership with NC A&T to the next level by donating $10,000 to a top, female engineering student to help with tuition and other school expenses. NC A&T consistently produces the largest number of female minority engineers year after year, and Siemens strives to attract and retain this top talent in the industry.
