How do I make a copy of an assembly and assembly driven parts that preserves links?

I have assembly files that include many assembly driven parts. These parts have active links.

I want to make a copy of the assembly and parts that also contains the links. How do I do this?

If I use revision manager to copy the files, the links are broken.

If save the assembly to a new name, the links are broken.

How can links be maintained durring a copy of assembly and assembly driven parts?

You've posted this into the wrong forum, this is General Q&A.

Let me know if this is an issue with NX or SolidEdge and I'll move it to the approprate forum.

Hello,

I did not see any "more specific" places to post. But this is my first day
on the Forum. Can't say I know my way around yet.

Please point me to the right place. I have the following typical types of
posts.

1. Trying to understand how to do something..asking for "how to" help
if I believe the task can be done but I can't determine how.

2. Posting a limit, shortcoming, or bug, to determine if that is
really the case or if I lack understanding. If I don't believe it can be
done that way.

3. A solution to my own or others problems

4. Posting a hard "Bug" that should be fixed in future updates

5. Posting suggestions to make the software easier to use

All of my posts will be for assembly driven sheet metal parts ordered.

What Software are you using, NX or SolidEdge? Let me know, and I'll move this to the appropriate forum. Once your question is in the correct forum, there are a lot of people willing to help.
